The Model Matching Problem for Max-Plus Linear Systems: A Geometric Approach

چکیده
Linear systems over the max-plus algebra provide a suitable formalism to model discrete event where synchronization, without competition, is involved. In this paper, we consider formulation of matching problem for such class, in which output given system, called plant, forced, by input, track exactly that model. A necessary and sufficient condition its solvability obtained making use geometric methods framework algebra.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
A stabilizing model predictive controller for uncertain max-plus-linear systems and uncertain switching max-plus-linear systems ⋆
We first discuss conditions for stability for uncertain max-plus-linear systems and for uncertain switching max-plus-linear systems, where in the uncertainty description the system matrices live in a union of polyhedra. Based on the newly derived stability conditions, a stabilizing model predictive controller is derived for both uncertain max-plus-linear systems and uncertain switching max-plus...

متن کاملStable Model Predictive Control for Constrained Max-Plus-Linear Systems
Discrete-event systems with synchronization but no concurrency can be described by models that are “linear” in the max-plus algebra, and they are called max-plus-linear (MPL) systems. Examples of MPL systems often arise in the context of manufacturing systems, telecommunication networks, railway networks, parallel computing, etc. In this paper we provide a solution to a finite-horizon model pre...
